Five Guys Franchise To Open In Ireland

Five Guys Burgers and Fries, the US burger chain, is set to enter the Irish market as five restaurants are already planned for the Dublin area.

Two Dublin restaurants will open in the City Centre with a further three on the M50 belt. Cork, Galway, Limerick and Belfast can also expect new restaurants in the near future.

Five Guys started in Arlington, Virginia in 1986 and started franchising in 2003. It has since become the fastest growing casual dining restaurant business in the US and opened its first international venue in London in 2013.

Five Guys have received the Zagat seal of approval every year since 1999 and don't have freezers in the restaurants. The chain has become very popular with Irish tourists in the US, particularly J1 students.

Sons of Irish billionaire financier Dermot Desmond have secured the franchise rights for Ireland. As of yet, there is no date set for openings.
