Neven Maguire, the popular TV chef that runs MacNean House & Restaurant alongside his chef wife Amelda, has applied to Cavan county council for planning permission to extend the premises.
Neven Maguire is hoping to knock down the existing kitchen at the Blacklion, Co Cavan restaurant and build a new 420 sq m extension, which will create a bigger kitchen and six guest suites, reports The Times.
The report adds that accounts for Lucon, the company behind the venture, 'show the business had a deferred income of €1.6m, which traditionally in the trade represents gift vouchers'.
