Fade Street in Dublin, one of Dublin's top dining streets, welcomed another addition to the neighbourhood with the launch of 'Idlewild' bar earlier this week.
It was set up by John Reynolds, the proprietor of The Market Bar and The Chelsea Drugstore. The Dailyedge.ie says it will be serving cocktails and “Boilermakers”, the American tradition of serving beer with a shot of spirits.
Dublin Pizza Company will celebrate its opening on Aungier Street by giving out free pizzas Friday 3 June from 5:30-8pm. The Dublin Inquirer reports that the pizzas will only take around 60 seconds to cook and that the pizzeria will mainly use ingredients that they've grown using a polytunnel at Stoneybatter.

Cracked, a pop-up omelette and frittata bar that had set up shop inside the restaurant Bread & Bones on Millenium Walkway, has found a new home in Dalkey this summer. It will only be open on weekends and Bank Holidays from 10am-6pm.
Dice Bar in Smithfield has launched a new unnamed bar on the corner of Ellis Street. Its owner Kieran Finnerty told LovinDublin.com “It's going to have the same vibe as the Dice Bar, except a more chilled out version”.
Close by on Benburb Street, Fish Shop has opened up its new separate premises, “Fish + Chips + Wine” where the only menu item served will be fish and chips. Its bigger seafood restaurant on Queen Street is still undergoing refurbishment and will open later this summer.
Meanwhile, the Exchequer in Dublin 2 has hired a new chef to develop the menus for it and the Ranelagh premises. Anthony Gaughan, who has previously worked in restaurants such as One Pico, The Merrion Hotel and The Greenhouse, will be providing a fine-dining approach to the Exchequer's food offerings.
