According to a report in The Irish Times, Dylan McGrath's restaurant, Rustic Stone, will have to pay a fine of €1,000 to one of its former chefs de partie.
A court ruled that Jose Cano Ruiz, once an employee of McGrath's, is entitled to the sum under the Organisation of Working Time Act for unpaid working hours.
Ruiz claimed to have worked from 10am until 11.30pm each day for five days a week; he also said that on Saturdays and Sundays he worked without taking any breaks at all.
On average he worked 65 hours a week during his time with Rustic Stone, he stated.
The Labour Court concluded that the restaurant had not kept up-to-standard records of hours worked, and awarded the chef €1,000.
