Supermacs Considers Move To Australia

Supermacs boss Pat McDonagh has received six requests from Australia to start operating out there. McDonagh has confirmed his interests in the new market, with hopes to open one outlet in either Sidney, Melbourne or Perth in the current year. He will also hope to open two in 2014 and two in 2015. With pre-tax profits of €5m in 2012, both this year and the previous one have been positive for the company due to an increase in customers and the hard work of staff and managers, according to McDonagh. In this context, apart from the Australian expansion, in the current year the group plans to open four outlets in Ireland.
