New accounts filed for Chapter One, one of the country's select number of Michelin-starred eateries, show that the firm’s accumulated profits rose by €24,768 from €252,695 to €277,463 in the 12 months to the end of Feb 28 this year.

The firm’s cash during the year jumped by 30%, or €156,606, from €526,515 to €683,121.

The continued growth in the Parnell Street restaurant follows its chef patron, Ross Lewis, receiving the honour of being asked to cook for Queen Elizabeth II at the state banquet during her visit in 2011.

Chapter One attained its Michelin star in 2007 and the restaurant is one of only five other Irish restaurants sharing the distinction. A sixth, Dublin’s Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, is the only Irish establishment to hold two stars.
