Dursey island is a paradise for hikers and bird lovers, as it is home to numerous rare species.

The island can be reached by cable car – the only one in Ireland. The crossing in the sometimes swaying cable car takes approx. 10 minutes. Incidentally, this is approved for six people or one cow.
