Carlow Brewing Company Acquires Eights Brands From Boyne Brewhouse

O'Hara's craft beer owner Carlow Brewing Company has acquired eight brands including beers and pre-mixed canned spirits sold under the Glassbox brand from Boyne Brewhouse.

Production Move

Carlow Brewing Company chief executive Seamus O'Hara told The Irish Independent that production of the newly-acquired brands will move from Boyne Brewhouse's headquarters in Drogheda, Co. Louth, to Co. Carlow.

Distilling Focus Plan

It is thought that the deal to sell the eights brand to Carlow Brewing Company is part of a plan to enable Boyne Brewhouse to focus on its distilling business. Boyne Brewhouse sells spirits including whiskeys and a cream liqueur under The Whistler brand.
