Great Northern Distillery Plans To Use Bespoke Whiskey Maturation Warehouses

John Teeling has revealed that he is planning to use bespoke whiskey maturation warehouses built by third parties for his Great Northern Distillery in Co. Louth following the refusal of planning permission for the development of his own facilities on a 140-acre in the county.

Speaking to The Irish Independent, Teeling said that the distillery will "rent around Co. Louth" and is already in talks with some potential partners.

Operating Profits Increase

Earlier this week, newly-filed accounts for Great Northern Distillery revealed that operating profits increased by 36% to €7.6 million at the Dundalk distillery during the year that ended on April 30, 2019.
