Irish Mixed Drinks Manufacturer Poachers Drinks Announced As Overall Winner Of Inaugural Tonic And Mixer Masters In The Spirits Business Global Masters Series
Irish premium mixed drink manufacturer Poachers Drinks has been announced as the overall winner of the inaugural Tonic and Mixer Masters in The Spirits Business Global Masters Series.
The top accolade of the competition, the "Taste Master (best of the best)" accolade, was awarded to Poachers Wild Tonic for its Irish Elderflower product, which is a blend of hand-picked Irish elderflower, fresh lemon and natural quinine.
The Spirits Global Masters Series Details
Launched in 2008, The Spirits Business Global Masters Series is a series of blind-tasting competitions, the aim of which is to find and recognise excellence in spirits and mixers on the world stage.
The Spirits Global Masters Series judges include journalists, retail buyers, bartenders and educators.
This year is the first year that tonic and mixers have been recognised as a category, making Poachers Wild Tonic the first ever winner of this prize, chosen from over 95 products from around the world.
In addition to the top prize in the Tonic and Mixer Master category, Poachers Drinks won the Master Medal for their Wild Tonic with Irish Elderflower, four gold medals for Poachers Citrus Tonic With Irish Rosemary, Poachers Classic Tonic With Irish Thyme, Poachers Light Tonic With Irish Rosemary and Poachers Ginger Beer With Irish Chilli, and a silver medal for Poachers Ginger Ale With Irish Apple.
