Jameson Sales Rose 6% During The Year That Ended On June 30

New statistics from Irish Distillers have revealed that Jameson whiskey sales grew 6% to 7.7 million cases during the year that ended on June 30, 2019.

Jameson sales were up 23% in emerging markets during the period, with high growth levels being recorded in Nigeria, India, Mexico, and Brazil, while the brand's sales rose 12% in Eastern Europe, driven by the Ukrainian and Russian markets, and sales increased 2% in the Republic of Ireland.

Additionally, sales of Irish Distillers' prestige range increased 25% during the twelve month period, with Redbreast sales being up 24% and sales of the company's spot range being up 40%.

"Immensely Proud"

The Irish Independent quotes Irish Distillers CEO and chairman Conor McQuaid as saying, "We are immensely proud of the strong performance of our full portfolio of Irish whiskeys.

"As these results show, we continue to develop our historically strong markets while penetrating new markets for Irish whiskey."
