"A Fantastic Opportunity"

Java Republic managing director Grace O'Shaughnessy stated, "We are delighted to be acquiring The Island Beverage Company, our exclusive distributor in the south-west. We are committed to the coffee market in Ireland, and this represents a fantastic opportunity to further our all island approach and invest for growth.

"Despite the challenges presented by Covid-19, we believe the Irish market represents an exciting opportunity for us and for Cafento as our parent company.

"In acquiring The Island Beverage Company, we will strengthen our relationship with our customers in the south-west, ensuring we can continue to deliver the same excellent service and support. For our customers in the south-west and beyond, this is a clear statement of our commitment to them and a further demonstration of our all island approach to serving customers with a fantastic premium coffee experience."
