The Irish Foodservice Suppliers Alliance (IFSA) will host its Food & Bev Live foodservice event at Citywest in Dublin on February 4 and 5, 2020.

Attracting thousands of visitors, Food & Bev Live is a two-day extravaganza of foodservice excellence that features national skills finals, live demonstrations, new product launches and unique networking opportunities. The show has been building in stature over the past few years and now offers visitors innovative ideas, new products, technology and the business advice they need to grow their business in the years ahead.

Celebrating Ireland's dynamic foodservice industry, and an increasingly competitive market, Food & Bev Live 2020 will continue the event's rich history of celebrating excellence within the industry and will play host to world-class competitions including the National Barista Championships, the Chef Ireland Culinary Competitions and the Bartenders Association's Irish Cocktail Championships.

A "Must-Attend" Event

Speaking about the importance of providing a two day show that delivers for both exhibitors and visitors, IFA chairman Patrick Clement said, "Food & Bev Live 2020 promises to serve up two days packed full of ideas, innovation and solutions for your business. Irish Foodservice Supplier Awards

Championing best practice within the industry, sustainability will play a central role at the show. In a first, the show has launched the inaugural Irish Foodservice Supplier Awards (IFSAs), which are designed to acknowledge product and service innovation within the foodservice industry. The theme for 2020 will be "innovation for a sustainable future", and the awards have been created to shine a light on suppliers who are at the forefront of the industry's response to the environmental crisis.

Serving Up The Best Talent

Food & Bev Live 2020 will continue the event's history of celebrating excellence within the industry. Home to world-class competitions, visitors to the show will have the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the very best talent in the country.

Over the two days of the show, Food & Bev Live will be hosting the National Coffee Championships. Organised by the Irish chapter of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA Ireland), the National Coffee Championships  will see barista compete to be named champion and have the chance to represent Ireland at the World Barista Championships.

Meanwhile, the Bartenders Association's Irish Cocktail Championships will see Ireland's leading mixologists put their skills to the test during the high-octane cocktail challenges. The winner will get the opportunity to represent Ireland at the World Cocktail Championships later this year.

Additionally, over 1,000 chefs will be descending on Food & Bev Live to take part in Chef Ireland's national culinary competitions. The Panel of Chefs of Ireland will welcome competitors to a host of category competitions. In a first, this year the cooking competitions are going green and the theme will be "sustainability with an awareness of ingredients and the origin of foods".

Food & Bev Live will also host Ireland's first National Pizza Championships in association with the Associazione Pizzerie Italiane (API). The National Pizza Championships will see chefs from across Ireland battle it out to be crowned National Pizza Champion.

Furthermore, Food & Bev Live has partnered with The European Tea Society to bring the first ever national qualifying round of the Tea Masters Cup to Ireland. The competitions will take place in the European Tea Pavilion, which is a fresh addition to the two-day expo.

Chef Network Hub

The Chef Network Hub at Food & Bev Live is set to bring chefs together to connect, communicate and collaborate. With a dedicated social and hospitality space where chefs can meet, exchange ideas and discuss topics and issues of interest, this is the place to be if you are a chef looking to expand your knowledge and get involved in hot topic discussions.

The No.1 Reason for Visiting Food & Bev Live

According to visitors to the event, new products are the number one reason for visiting Food & Bev Live, and, in 2020, there's set to be a record-number of new products and services featured at the event. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet a huge number of exhibitors at this year's show including big brand names such as Bewleys, Bunzl McLaughlin, Calor, Caterline and Nisbets, which will sit alongside successful local companies including Genovese Foods among many others.

Many new names are joining the two-day show, including 2GoCup.
