Northern Ireland's Clare Smyth Named 'Best Female Chef In The World'

Northern Irish chef Clare Smyth has been named "Best Female Chef in the World" at the World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards in Bilbao, Spain.

Smyth, who has served as a speaker at Hospitality Ireland's National Hospitality Conference in the past, spent 15 years working in three-Michelin star restaurants alongside famous chefs such as Gordon Ramsay before opening her own restaurant called Core by Clare Smyth in London last year, as reported by thejournal.ie.

Located in London's Notting Hill area, Core's official website describes the venue as "an elegant and informal fine dining restaurant with an emphasis on natural, sustainable food, sourced from the UK’s most dedicated farmers and food producers."
