Deliveroo Revenues Rise 80%

Online food delivery company Deliveroo has revealed that it grew rapidly in 2018 as its revenue rose by over 80% to €9 million from just over €5 million in 2017.

The company's gross profit also increased, by almost 20% to €1.2 million, as it has greatly expanded the number of restaurants and cities it operates in.

The group benefitted from growing maturity in existing markets, improved services and growing order volumes as well.

Deliveroo now works with over 1,200 restaurants and more than 1,000 riders across Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway.

From Strength To Strength

"Deliveroo is going from strength to strength in Ireland, serving more and more people the food they want when and where they want it, offering more riders the work they value, and helping more restaurants to grow their businesses," Michael Healy, Deliveroo general Manager for Ireland, said. "Ireland is a vital market for the company, so we will continue to invest, innovate and improve our offering for consumers."

Deliveroo will continue to grow across Ireland, focusing on increasing the breadth of restaurant selection on the platform, improving customer's options and improving its service.

The group said that its strong growth can also be seen on a global scale.

Over the year, it has increased its reach to work with 80,000 restaurants and 60,000 riders across 13 markets.
