Canadian Social Influencers ‘Capture’ The Island Of Ireland

Five top Canadian social influencers – with a combined following of almost 380,000 fans on Instagram, or potential Canadian holidaymakers – explored Ireland last week as guests of Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, Tourism NI and Air Transat.

Isabelle Cheng, Filipa Jackson, Joëlle Anello, Lauren McPhillips and Krystle Ng-A-Mann captured and shared their travels in Ireland with their fans and followers.

Their itinerary included the Ulster Museum, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Giant’s Causeway and the Dark Hedges. The group also enjoyed a walking tour of Galway city, as well as visits to Dunguaire Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren Smokehouse, the Guinness Storehouse and the Little Museum of Dublin.

Tourism Ireland is delighted to welcome this group of top Canadian social influencers,” said Dana Welch, Tourism Ireland’s manager Canada. “They’ve got a strong following on Instagram, so their visit is a really good opportunity to showcase the many things to see and do on the island of Ireland to a wide audience of prospective Canadian holidaymakers. Their posts and photos will be seen and shared by their many online followers – inspiring them to come and sample the destination for themselves.

Tourism Ireland undertakes a busy publicity programme around the world each year, to raise the profile of the island of Ireland. Visits by journalists and social influencers, such as this Canadian group, are a key element of that programme.”
