Cathay Pacific To Operate New Dublin To Hong Kong Service

Tourism Ireland has welcomed an announcement by airline Cathay Pacific that it will begin operating a new route from Hong Kong to Dublin in June 2018.

These flights will help boost leisure and business travel between Hong Kong and Ireland, as well as offering customers connections on Cathay Pacific services to and from the likes of Australia, New Zealand, China, and several countries in South East Asia.

Tourism Ireland CEO Niall Gibbins stated that the announcement "is good news for Irish tourism as we plan for 2018 and beyond, continue the roll out of our market diversification strategy in light of the UK’s decision to exit the EU, and seek to implement the findings of our recent developing markets review. The new Cathay Pacific service will help further to open up important tourism and business opportunities for Ireland in Hong Kong and China, in Australia and New Zealand, and across the Asia Pacific region.”
