Fáilte Ireland Appoints Paul Carty As Its Interim Chair

Fáilte Ireland has appointed Paul Carty as its interim chair.

Carty, who was the managing director of the Guinness Storehouse for almost 20 years until his retirement earlier this year, has been a member of Fáilte Ireland since July of 2017, and is also a former chair of the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC) as well as being the founder and former chair of the Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions (AVEA).

Selected Unanimously

Carty was selected unanimously by his Fáilte Ireland colleagues to serve as the organisation's interim chair until tourism minister Catherine Martin appoints a new permanent chair.
