Galway Set For First St Patrick's Day Festival In Three Years

As reported by RTE.ie, Galway will have a St Patrick’s Day parade for the first time since 2019.

Galway City Council is planning to run a series of events over the course of the double bank holiday weekend in March, to mark St Patrick’s Day.

The programme will include the city’s first parade for the national holiday since 2019.

Alterations made to the traditional route back then will remain in place for 2022, with participants marching from University Road, over the Salmon Weir Bridge, to Eglinton Street and Eyre Square.

The Council also plans to run an outdoor village, with vintage amusements and family activities, for the duration of the long weekend.
