Guinness Storehouse Visitor Numbers Up 18%

Visitor figures for the Guinness Storehouse increased by 18 per cent during 2015, with almost 1.5 million people taking the tour of the world-famous brewery, the Irish Times reports.

British and American tourists were the most prominent in generating revenue in this regard, with just over 25 per cent of the former nationality, and 22 per cent of the latter.

Guinness has said that it wishes to further improve the Storehouse throughout 2016, with new innovations and features for the brewery tour scheduled.

The Storehouse’s managing director, Paul Carty, said: “We celebrated 15 years of welcoming visitors to the home of Guinness just last month and in September were named ‘Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction’ at the World Travel Awards, winning more votes than the likes of the Eiffel Tower and the Colosseum.”
