Hainan To Discontinue Dublin-Shenzhen Route And Suspend Beijing Service For Winter

Hainan Airlines has announced that it is discontinuing its route between Dublin and Shenzhen, and suspending its Beijing route for the winter.

"Disappointed"

The Irish Independent quotes a DAA spokesperson as saying that Dublin Airport was "disappointed that Hainan had decided to suspend the Beijing service for the winter and end its flights to Shenzhen, but understood that the decision was part of a wider programme of capacity reductions".

The Beijing route began operating in 2018, with the Shenzhen service following in the spring of 2019. Both routes were expected to operate year-round when they were launched.
