Thirteen tourism companies from Ireland travelled to Dubai last week, to join Tourism Ireland at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), in a bid to grow tourist numbers from the UAE to Ireland in 2022 and beyond.
Tourism Ireland arranged meetings for the tourism operators from Ireland with key UAE travel professionals, and it also hosted a networking dinner with influential luxury travel buyers based in the UAE.
The ATM is the biggest travel trade event in the UAE, attracting more than 20,000 visitors, including leading tour operators, travel agents, business tourism buyers, airlines, travel media and bloggers – and not just from the UAE, but from all over the world.

Tourism Ireland’s manager for Asia and the Middle East, Aisling McDermott, stated, “Tourism Ireland is delighted that 13 tourism companies from Ireland – and many key UAE travel professionals – took the time to join us at [the] Arabian Travel Market this week. It provided another important platform for Tourism Ireland to showcase and sell Ireland to influential travel professionals in the UAE. Our message for those travel professionals is that Ireland is open for business again, and we cannot wait to welcome back their clients.”
