The statement published on IrelandWestAirport.com quoted managing director Joe Gilmore as saying, “Last year, the airport were delighted to relaunch our charities-of-the-year programme and were thrilled to raise a record €42,500 for our three charity partners – Childhood Cancer Ireland, [the] Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and the Sensational Kids charity – and, in turn, supporting the fantastic work that these charities all undertake, which really does make such a difference to the people that they support in our community. I am very proud of the continued support and commitment of our own staff in raising significant money for their nominated charities every year, and we look forward to another successful year working with our six new charities in 2023.”
