Irish Ferries Launches Wine Tasting Experience

Irish Ferries will host a wine tasting event on Thursday 30 March.

Irish Ferries and partners Wine & Beer Supermarket Cherbourg, along with a selection of French wine producers and growers, will host the event onboard the W.B. Yeats during on a journey from Dublin to France.

Experts from a range of regions and vineyards will guide attendees through a tasting of wines from Bordeaux's Medoc to the Rhone Valley and Languedoc-Roussillon region.

First In A Series

The 30 March sailing is the first in a series of wine tasting events taking place onboard the W.B. Yeats from Dublin to France this season.

Further sailings will take place on 20 April and 18 May 18.

Networking Event On Board Irish Ferries Ship

Another event that took place on the Irish Ferries vessel W.B. Years recently saw five tourism companies from the south-east of Ireland travel to Cherbourg to take part in a networking event organised by Tourism Ireland, wherein they met and did business with local French travel professionals and journalists.

The event was organised to highlight the links between Normandy and Ireland, and, in particular, the south-east. It was also an opportunity to promote ease of access by ferry from France to Ireland for French holidaymakers.

Guests enjoyed a lunch prepared by Taste Wexford - using produce sourced from the south-east - as well a performance by Cork-based band Torcán.
