National Hospitality Award Winners 2013

At the National Hospitality Awards: Ballyfin Demesne was the big winner, retaining the Best Overall Hotel award it won last year. Beating off stiff competition from Harvey's Point and The Europe, the Co. Laois hotel was once again cream of the crop.

The Europe won the Best Resort Hotel Award, ahead of Carton House and Castle Leslie. Killarney's The Europe hotel will no doubt welcome this award with open arms, given the reputation of the other hotels in the category.

The other major winners at the awards, supported by Hospitality Ireland Magazine and held in Dublin's Four Season's Hotel, were Doheny and Nesbitt and Residence, who earned the Best Pub and Best Overall Restaurant awards respectively.

The Marker Hotel continued it's fine first year in existence by bagging the Best New Establishment award, ahead of The Hot Stove and Las Tapas de Lola. Other winners included The Mustard Seed – Limerick (Best Hotel Restaurant), The Vintage Cocktail Club - Dublin (Best Cocktail Bar), The River Lee Hotel – Cork (Best Business Hotel), Wineport Lodge – Athlone (Best Boutique Hotel), Searsons (Best Sporting Pub), Cork International Hotel - Cork (Best Value Hotel), The Twelve - Galway (Best Wine List), Inis Meain – Galway (Best Dining Experience), The Chophouse - Dublin (Best Pub With Food), Sodexo Ireland – Davys Stockbrocker Dublin (Best Catering Supplier), Kinara Kitchen (Best Ethnic Restaurant), TJ Newmans - West Cork (Best Traditional Pub), QCs (Best Casual Dining), The Dylan - Dublin (Best Hotel Bar), Everleigh Gardens - Dublin (Best Nightclub), Druids Glen (Best Customer Service).
