New Camp For Ukrainians To Open In Gormanstown

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said that a new camp for Ukrainians fleeing the war in their country will open in Gormanstown on Monday 18 July, according to RTE.ie.

As reported by RTE.ie, at present, Ukrainians fleeing the war in their country and asylum seekers from other countries are staying at Dublin Airport as a result of a state-provided accommodation shortage, with approximately 250 people staying at the airport's old terminal building at the airport, including approximately 150 Ukrainian women and children.

Taoiseach To Meet Ministers

Taoiseach Micheál Martin is to meet ministers today (Thursday 14 July) to talk about the accommodation shortage for Ukrainians and other asylum seekers, according to RTE.ie.
