Northern Ireland Showcased To Australian Travel Agents

A group of Australian travel agents has been visiting Northern Ireland this week as guests of Tourism Ireland and tour operator Australian Pacific Touring (APT).

The travel agents all won the opportunity to travel to here and to try out the brand new APT island of Ireland tour. They partook in a visit to Titanic Belfast and an overnight stay at The Merchant hotel in Belfast. They also travelled along the Causeway Coastal Route, stopping off at the Giant’s Causeway and the Old Bushmills Distillery, before arriving in Londonderry for a walking tour of the city.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase Northern Ireland to this group of top Australian travel agents,” said Sofia Hansson, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Australia. “There is really no substitute for being able to come here and experience what Northern Ireland has to offer first-hand. Our aim is that when these travel agents return home, they will be better informed and really enthusiastic about the destination, which will in turn help to secure a greater share of their business for Northern Ireland.”
