Number Of Travellers Who Passed Through NI Airports Decreased By Close To 90% Year-On-Year In November

The number of travellers who passed through Northern Ireland's airports decreased by close to 90% year-on-year in November to 68,653, according to data from the Civil Aviation Authority.

Belfast Airports

As reported by The Irish News, the Civil Aviation Authority's data indicates that the number of travellers who passed through Belfast International Airport decreased by 91% year-on-year in November to 36,039, and the number of travellers who passed through Belfast City Airport decreased by 85% year-on-year in November to 26,944.

City Of Derry Airport

Meanwhile, the number of travellers who passed through City of Derry Airport decreased by 69% year-on-year in November to 5,580.

Funding Packages

Stormont announced a £7.8 million rescue package for Belfast International Airport and City of Belfast Airport last month. It followed the announcement of a £1.23 million funding package for City of Derry Airport in November.
