Passenger Numbers Hit Record 750k At Knock As Pre-Tax Profits And Revenues Rise

Passenger numbers hit 750,000 for the first time ever at Ireland West Airport Knock last year as pre-tax profits at the firm behind the airport, Connaught Airport Development Company Ltd, almost tripled to €1.67 million.

Meanwhile, the firm's revenues rose by 4% from €12.63 million to €13.12 million, reports The Irish Independent.

"A Very Strong Performance"

The directors stated that "despite the ongoing concerns over Brexit, within the aviation industry in particular, the growth in passenger numbers in 2017 was fuelled by a very strong performance across the range of UK services available at the airport with an extra 18,000 travelling to and from the UK in 2017".
