Popular Dublin Barista Passes Away After Cancer Battle

Award-winning Dublin Barista, Rashel Winn, has passed away after losing her battle with cervical cancer.

The 28 year old Seattle-born Irish Brewers Cup Champion was originally diagnosed last April, resulting in her peers and colleagues joining together to help her. Late last month, the Irish coffee-lovers community rallied together to help raise over €45,000 in just a week to help with her fight.

Popular Dublin Cafes like Love Supreme in Stoneybatter and 3FE on Grand Canal donated their proceeds to help fund a campaign to pay for Rashel's Dad to fly over from Seattle as well as for further treatment.

Winn had worked in some of Dublin's top cafe's including The Fumbally and First Draft Coffee, and is survived by her husband Seamus Lawlor.
