Profits Drop €100k At Kylemore Abbey

By Dave Simpson

Maintenance costs and investment at Co. Galway's Kylmore Abbey caused the tourist attraction's profits to drop by approximately €100,000 in 2017.

As reported by The Irish Independent, the abbey recorded profits of €722,652 for last year, with the majority of the attraction's income being generated by the 330,000 visitors who passed through its doors in 2017.

Revamp Works

Revamp works at Kylemore Abbey will see the construction of a new entrance, more rooms open to the pubic and "general improvements in all public areas" as well as the launch of a new visitor experience on St. Patrick's Day, 2019.
