Profits Rise At Knock Airport Parent Company

New accounts filed by Ireland West Airport Knock parent company Connaught Airport Development Co Ltd have revealed that the firm's pre-tax profits increased 24% to €2 million last year.

Meanwhile, revenues rose 11% to €14.47 million; the number of people employed by the company increased from 135 to 143, with staff costs increasing from €5.5 million to €5.7 million; and directors' remuneration decreased from €183,417 to €177,246, as reported by The Irish Times.

Passenger Numbers

According to the company's directors' report, Ireland West Airport Knock passenger numbers increased 3% to 771,619 last year, making 2018 the busiest year on record for the airport.

The directors also stated that the company recorded a pre-tax profit of €158,367 before operating funding from the Department of Transport is taken into account.
