Shannon Group Chairwoman Steps Down

The chairwoman of Shannon Airport operator Shannon Group, Rose Hynes, has stepped down.

In a statement published on Shannon Group's website, Shannon Group CEO Mary Considine said, "Rose Hynes has given immense service to this region through her commitment to Shannon Group. She worked tirelessly for the group and played not just a pivotal role in its formation but in the many highs achieved during her tenure.

"Aside from her actual board duties, outside of that she played a key ambassadorial role for Shannon Group, forging relationships with national and international stakeholders in the best interest of Shannon and the region."

End Of Board Member's Term

Shannon Group board member Kathryn O'Leary-Higgins's term on the group's board has also ended.

Commenting on the ending of O'Leary-Higgins's term on the board, Considine said that O'Leary-Higgins "has brought invaluable US insights and no shortage of commitment to Shannon Group" and that the group is "deeply grateful to her for her commitment".
