Tourism network South and West Sligo has launched a new social media marketing campaign that encourages people to share what Sligo means to them online using the hashtag #MySligo.
In a statement on the South and West Sligo Tourism Facebook page, the network explains, "There’s so much going on in the county that it means a lot of different things to different people. ‘My Sligo’ is an initiative from tourism network South and West Sligo. My Sligo invites people to upload their photos or videos online saying what ‘My Sligo’ means to them and using the hashtag #MySligo so everyone can find the videos and enjoy them. Every video or photo uploaded using that hashtag can be seen all over the world – people in Sligo, in Ireland, the Diaspora can join in. It’s a great way to celebrate the scenery, sights and diversity of this incredible county."
The campaign was kickstarted with a video from Lothar Muschketat of eagles flying in Ballymote, which can be viewed below.
