Tourism Ireland Hosts Online Version Of Annual Flavours Of Ireland Event

This week, 100 tourism companies from around the island of Ireland took part in a virtual Tourism Ireland B2B tourism workshop called Flavours20, which was an online version of the annual Flavours of Ireland event.

Organised by Tourism Ireland, Flavours of Ireland is an annual B2B tourism workshop at which tourism companies from the island of Ireland meet and do business with UK inbound tour operators.

This year's Flavours of Ireland event took place virtually due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

Tourism Ireland facilitated a series of pre-scheduled appointments for the participating UK inbound tour operators to meet with the participating tourism companies from Ireland via an online system.

The aim of the event was to showcase the island of Ireland to the UK inbound tour operators to position it well for when the time is right to welcome international visitors again.

"Delighted"

Tourism Ireland CEO Niall Gibbons stated, "Tourism Ireland is delighted that 100 tourism organisations from the island of Ireland and so many of the leading UK inbound tour operators [took] the time to join us at our virtual Flavours20 workshop [this week].

"Our message for the UK inbound buyers is that, when the time is right, we will have everything ready to welcome international visitors back to our shores. We'll be assuring our international travel trade partners that tourism companies across the island of Ireland have been implementing all the required new health and safety measures, but will still be ready to deliver a fantastic holiday experience for their clients."
