Tourism Ireland Hosts Virtual Version Of Its Annual World Travel Market Event

Tourism Ireland is hosting a virtual version of its annual World Travel Market B2B event this week.

During the three day event, which is taking place online this year due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, 100 tourism companies from the island of Ireland will meet and do business with key travel professionals from around the world virtually.

The aim of the event is to showcase the island of Ireland to said key travel professionals to position the island well for when the time is right to welcome international visitors again.

"Never Been More Important"

Tourism Ireland CEO Niall Gibbons stated, "As we approach the end of 2020 and what has been a devastating year for travel and tourism, World Travel Market has perhaps never been more important for us than it is this year. So, Tourism Ireland is delighted that a record number of tourism organisations from around the island of Ireland are participating in WTM Virtual - all of us sharing the message with the international travel trade that, when the time is right, we will have everything ready to welcome overseas visitors back to our shores. We are assuring our international trade partners that tourism companies across the island of Ireland have been implementing all the required new health and safety measures, but will still be ready to deliver a fantastic holiday experience for their clients."
