Tourism Ireland Welcomes New Norwegian Flight From Ontario To Dublin

Tourism Ireland has welcomed the announcement by Norwegian of a new flight from Hamilton (Ontario) to Dublin. The new service will operate daily, commencing in March 2019, providing another welcome boost for travel from Canada to Ireland.

Dana Welch, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Canada, said, “We are delighted to hear that Norwegian will launch a new flight from Hamilton (Ontario) to Dublin next spring. It’s more good news for Irish tourism as we begin to plan for 2019. We look forward to working closely with Norwegian to maximise the promotion of this new flight from Hamilton and continue to grow Canadian visitor numbers. As an island, the importance of convenient, direct, non-stop flights cannot be overstated, they are absolutely critical to achieving growth in inbound tourism.”

2017 was the best year ever for Irish tourism from Canada, with visitor numbers increasing by around 12% over 2016. Tourism Ireland is undertaking an extensive programme of promotions again in 2018 to build on this success and continue to grow Canadian visitor numbers.
