Value Of Accommodation And Food Service Activities Increased Both Monthly And Annually In January

According to data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the value of accommodation and food service activities increased both monthly and annually in January of 2022.

Monthly And Year-On-Year Increases

A statement published on the CSO's website said that the value of accommodation and food service activities increased by 1.5% monthly in January of this year, and by 145.6% annually.

Pre-Pandemic Comparison

However, the statement published on the CSO's website also said that the value of accommodation and food service activities in January of 2022 was 35.2% lower than in pre-COVID-19 pandemic January of 2020, and that the volume of accommodation and food service activities in January of 2022 was 38.5% lower than in pre-COVID-19 pandemic January of 2020.
