Value Of Accommodation & Food Service Activities Increased Year-On-Year In September

According to the Monthly Services Index September 2022 (Provisional) and August 2022 (Final) report from the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the value of accommodation & food service activities increased in September of 2022.

Annual Change

According to a statement published on CSO.ie, the value of accommodation & food service activities increased by 36.6% in September of this year compared to the same month last year, with the volume of accommodation & food service activities increasing by 27.0% year-on-year in September of 2022.

Monthly Change

Additionally, the statement published on CSO.ie noted that the value of accommodation & food service activities increased by 2.1% in September of 2022 compared to August of 2022, and the volume of accommodation & food service activities was unchanged in September of this year compared to the previous month.

Pre-COVID-19 Pandemic Comparison

The statement published on CSO.ie also noted that the value of accommodation & food service activities decreased by 0.1% in September of this year compared to pre-COVID-19 pandemic February of 2020, and the volume of accommodation & food service activities decreased by 11.5% in September of 2022 compared to pre-pandemic February of 2020.
