AA Awards Belfast's Fitzwilliam Hotel Five Stars

The Fitzwilliam Hotel of Belfast's Great Victoria Street has been awarded a five star rating by motor and travel organisation the AA.

While the hotel had previously been awarded five stars in the Tourism NI accommodation grading scheme, the venue issued a statement saying that the "coveted AA award marks another significant milestone", as reported by The Belfast Telegraph.

The hotel was said to be praised by the AA for its "attentive staff and high standards of housekeeping as well as the stylish and well-maintained property".

Joining its fellow Northern Irish hotel Bishop's Gate of Derry, The Fitzwilliam also received an AA Rosette for the quality of its food.

Fitzwilliam general manager Cian Landers commented, "The accreditation is testament to the efforts of the fantastic team we have here and the comments from the inspector show that the staff in all areas of the hotel made this possible. We are thrilled to have been recognised as an AA five-star rated hotel and will display our plaque with pride."
