Airbnb Makes Masks And Social Distancing Compulsory For Hosts And Guests

Airbnb has announced that its hosts and guests must wear face masks and practise social distancing when interacting with one another.

These requirements are part of Airbnb's COVID-19 Safety Practices, which Airbnb has said all of its hosts and guests must follow, and which also include a requirement for hosts and their teams to abide by Airbnb's five-step enhanced cleaning process.

Enhanced Cleaning Protocol Programme

The announcement follows Airbnb's introduction of an enhanced cleaning protocol programme that involves standardised guidelines for the cleaning and sanitisation of homes, and educational materials to support safer travel.

Airbnb stated that the enhanced cleaning protocol programme's guidelines were developed with guidance from experts in hospitality and medical hygiene, and former US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy.
