Cliste Hospitality Appoints New Executive Director Of Corporate Development

Cliste Hospitality has announced the appointment of Mairea Doyle Balfe as executive director of corporate development.

In this role, she will lead the Cliste Hospitality Development team and be responsible for sourcing hotel and other hospitality opportunities for clients and investors.

Mairea will also lead the hospitality management contract, consultancy and advisory division within Cliste.

Mairea joins from Crowe Ireland where she was director of Hotels, Tourism and Leisure.

During her eight years in Crowe, Mairea acted as an advisor to the sector working on new build projects, refinancing, asset management, redevelopment and transactional support.

Mairea was also a consultant to Fáilte Ireland helping develop strategic supports to the industry during COVID-19.

Background

Mairea’s career in the industry began with Hilton and Aramark.

She then moved into consulting with PKF in the US, where she worked on hotel and conference centre projects across the East Coast from concept development through feasibility, management selection and contract negotiations.

Mairea has a B.Sc from DIT Cathal Brugha Street and an MBA from TUD.
