Co. Fermanagh's Lusty Beg Island Resort Receives Award For Being Pet-Friendly

Co. Fermanagh's Lusty Beg Island Resort and Spa has become the first venue in the UK and Ireland to receive a gold award from Dog Friendly NI as part of the organisation's new Pets Are Welcome (PAW) grading programme.

The programme was created to recognise hospitality venues that make an effort to welcome pets.

"Members Of The Family"

The Belfast Telegraph quotes PAW programme architect Jo Crossley as saying, "Dogs are now considered members of the family and, with that, the needs and demands of owners have changed dramatically in the last few years.

"Owners expect more than an outside bench and an algae-encrusted metal bowl of water."

"Absolutely Delighted"

Lusty Beg Island sales and marketing manager Nina Kelly said that the venue has worked hard to ensure that it is a perfect retreat for families and their pets.
