Ireland is just one of the countries recognized by the travel bible's annual awards, with hotels representing just one of many categories. Other accolades at this year's awards included "World's Best Hotel", which was awarded to La Réserve in Paris, "Top Airline", which was awarded to Air New Zealand, and "No.1 City", which was awarded to Tokyo, as reported by The Irish Independent.

Describing Ballyfin, Condé Nest Traveler asserted, "If you've ever dreamed of summering at a country house, you couldn't do much better than this stately, 20-room Georgian home."

Additionally, Dublin was ranked as the 39th best city in the world for its "medieval buildings, live music, stately churches, and of course, Guinness", under all of which "hums a modern heart."
