Conrad Dublin Begins €8M Refurbishment

The five-star Conrad Dublin is to begin renovations throughout the hotel this week; an €8 million investment.

The hotel, located on Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin 2, is to redecorate its rooms (including its presidential suite), lobby and exterior. According to the Irish Independent, it will also introduce "new dining concepts" for the restaurant, ground floor lounge and bar.

The new ground-floor lounge and bar will open in March, as well as the unveiling of the refurbished rooms. The lobby redesign is "inspired by the work and vision of Ninian Niven, the architect of Iveagh Gardens," according to the Conrad.

Martin Mangan, the hotel's general manager said the renovations will "transform" the hotel. "After working extensively with our designers, we created two prototype guest rooms with beautiful fabrics, a subtle colour palette, natural oak flooring and finishes such as Herringbone wool carpets and wood panelling on the walls," he added.
