Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport celebrated its 50th year in business in 2022, having welcomed its first guests in 1972.

The 251-bedroom property was acquired by Ireland’s largest hotel operator, Dalata Hotel Group Plc, in 2014.

‘A Welcome Development’

Goodbody Stockbrokers has noted that, while this is relatively small in the group context, it is ‘a welcome development’.

According to Goodbody, ‘The Group will have to deal with the VAT increase in Ireland and the increased minimum wage in the UK but the lead indicators across the sector remain strong and corporate travel is expected to continue to recover.’

Workplace Well-Being

In December, Dalata Hotel Group become the first organisation to receive accreditation for its commitment to employee health and well-being in both the UK and Ireland.

The company was awarded the KeepWell Mark from IBEC in Ireland and has received Workplace Wellbeing Charter Accreditation in the UK.

Inclusion And Culture

The IBEC KeepWell Mark is an Irish accreditation programme, while the Workplace Wellbeing Charter Accreditation is its UK equivalent.

Companies seeking these accreditations are benchmarked against standards that include leadership, attendance management, health and safety, mental health, intoxicants, physical health, healthy eating, environment and sustainability, inclusion and culture.
