A decision on whether to approve revamped plans for a proposed development that would include a hotel on Cork city's Morrison Quay is due to be made next week.

As reported by The Irish Examiner, Cork City Council had granted Quakeside Ltd permission to proceed with the construction of a development that would include a hotel and office space on Cork's Morrison Quay, however, the decision was subsequently appealed to An Bord Pleanála by a third party.

Consequently, the original planning application was withdrawn and revised plans for the proposed development were subsequently submitted to Cork City Council.

Proposed Hotel Height And Room Count

If approved, the proposed hotel that is part of the revised plans would be four to five storeys in height and would have 187 bedrooms.
