Objections Raised To Proposed Donnybrook Hotel

Dublin City Council's decision to grant former head of Topaz and founder of Smiles Dental Emmet O'Neill permission to develop a new six-storey hotel on Dublin's Donnybrook Road has been met with opposition following the lodgment of two appeals to An Bord Pleanála.

Concerns Over Scale

As reported by The Irish Independent, the number rooms proposed for the hotel was previously reduced from 78 to 71 following concerns about the scale of the development, and these two appeals put a question mark over the future of the hotel being developed by O'Neill's Kouchin Holdings firm.
