PREM Group Invests €11m In Upgrading Irish Hotels

The PREM Group has announced that they are investing more than €11 million in the three Irish hotels that they have purchased over the last two years.

As reported by businessworld.ie, extensive refurbishments are already underway at the Osprey Hotel and Spa in Kildare, the Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort in Blessington and the Cahernane House hotel in Killarney, all of which will remain open for the duration of their upgrades.

Additional bedrooms will be incorporated into all three venues, which is subject to planning permission. New state-of-the-art spa facilities are planned for both Osprey and Tulfarris resorts, with extensive renovations also on the agenda for the 18-hole championship golf course (pictured) at the latter hotel.

According to PREM Group Chief Executive, Jim Murphy, "All three properties are already benefitting from the continued recovery in the domestic leisure and corporate sectors combined with the growth in overseas visitor numbers. This programme will solidify their positions among the leading hotels in their regions."

The PREM Group currently owns, manages or leases 45 hotels and serviced apartments across the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, encompassing upwards of 3,500 guest rooms and providing employment to approximately 1,500 people.
