New consolidated accounts filed by Tripoint Investments Ltd, the Kerry-based hotel group that operates Cork's five-star Hayfield Manor, reveal that the firm's pre-tax profits increased to €5.455 million last year.

The Irish Independent reports that the group's revenues rose 4% from €23.07 million to €23.96 million, and at the end of December 2017 the firm owed directors and founders Joseph and Margaret Scally €650,528.
